60 SECONDS WITH UNCLE SIX
Hey six, care to introduce yourself and what you do?
I am 360, an MC/dragon slayer from Port Melbourne…
Describe your music in half a word or less.
Mi…
Ok, three words…
Mind Blowingly Awesome.
What does a typical day consist of?
For the last year its been wake up at mid day, go to the studio til about midnight, get home about 12 30, then do the same thing again…
So you’ve just finished the recording for your latest album, “Falling and Flying”, how does it feel?
It feels pretty incredible… I’m amazingly proud of it. It’s a very personal and honest album, so it will be interesting to see how its perceived.
From the tracks you’ve leaked so far, the album sounds like its drawing on genres like electronica and dance, as well as hip- hop. Are you looking to change the way that stereotypical ‘Aussie hip- hop’ is perceived?
I just set out to make this album with no rules in mind… if I feel like its good music then I’m doing it, fuck any guidelines or rules.
If you could have any super power for a day, what would it be and why?
To fly (or fall?)
Other than music, what inspires you?
Life in general… shit that I go through or see people go through... and karate.
Pet hates?
People eating something sloppy whilst chewing with their mouths open, and people hurrying onto a tram, not giving anyone a chance to get off.
Bad habits?
Favourite Aussie hip hop artist at the minute?
Drapht
You’ve just had a cool million dollars mysteriously appear in your bank account. What do you do?
Go to the cas and put it all on black.
The tattoo on your left forearm reads ‘keep evolving’. Care to elaborate?
Don’t be afraid to change... be yourself.
Describe your perfect girl.
Jessica Biel's body, Kat Vonne D's tattoo's, who can fuck like Jenny Hendrix with the personality of Marge Simpson.
Turn ons.
Tattoo’s and humour.
Turn offs.
Unclean teeth.
What was your favourite cartoon as a kid?
Dragon Ball Z.
Any pre- stage/ concert rituals?
Most times I just have a few drinks while pacing back and forth looking like I just killed an innocent family- It helps to get myself pumped to smash shit.
What do your folks think of your profession?
They love it, although they used to be skeptical... "You need a real job, that’s not a career" etc, but now they are completely behind it. I love my folks.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
Doing shows to crowds of over 10,000 people in Europe.
And finally, why do people call you 360?
Cos’ I am everything…
